A lithium-ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery where lithium ions move from the negative electrode to the positive electrode during discharge, and from the positive electrode to the negative electrode during charging. Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in portable electronics and electric vehicles, and their application in aerospace and military contexts is increasing.

Fuel cells are an important technology for power generation, with high efficiency and at the same time the least pollution. They can work with different fuels including hydrogen, natural gas and biogas with higher efficiency than combustion engines. To be used in a wide range of different applications such as: power plant, portable equipment, back-up power generation and transportation. The fuel cell converts the chemical energy in the fuel directly into electrical energy with high efficiency and is divided into different types depending on the type of membrane used in it. Meanwhile, the polymer membrane fuel cell, which often works in the range of low temperatures, is one of the batteries that has found wide applications in various fields due to its major advantages such as energy conversion efficiency and high power density.
Since the beginning of 1401, Bahirsanat company has started manufacturing polymer membrane fuel cells, considering the country’s needs in the field of energy. So far, different parts of the project have been carried out in the company, which can be summarized as follows:
1- Layering of the catalyst on the membrane and electrode assembly
2- Building a fuel cell stack
3- Construction of the most important parts of the fuel cell system (cyclone-type gas-water separator, humidifier, potentiostat and gas chromatography device)
Considering the country’s need for more electrical energy and because of that, the construction of new power plants to produce electricity, the use of solar panels due to the lack of pollution and a lifespan of more than 25 years, as well as the state of high radiant power of the sun in Iran, is one of the ways to produce Electricity will be clean and stable.
According to this need, Behiar Sanat Sepahan Company has started building infrastructures and acquiring the necessary technical knowledge to manufacture solar panels. In this regard, one of the most important devices required for the solar panel manufacturing process, i.e., quartz stone, has been manufactured in Sepahan Bahayarsanat Company. Also, the prototype of the solar cell was also made by the same equipment.
The problem of air pollution in the country, especially in the winter season, has taken the breath of the big cities of the country and has become the basis of many diseases. According to the General Department of Environmental Protection of Isfahan province, a metropolis like Isfahan experienced only 2 days of clean air in 1401 until February of the same year. Isfahan is one of the most polluted cities in Iran with 136 days of unhealthy air for sensitive groups and 27 days of unhealthy air for the general public.
Air pollution in big cities has many causes, one of the most prominent of these causes is fuel oil burning by industries and power plants. Diesel fuel is high in sulfur, and in combustion, in addition to sulfur oxides, it emits sulfates, nitrates, suspended particles, and other toxic gases.
In this research, a model has been developed to respond to the need to reduce air pollution, which converts the sulfur present in the exhaust gases into high grade sulfuric acid. This technology has been proven in more than 50 references in 25 countries to produce acid with a concentration of 98%, efficiently and economically. This technology cleans the wet gas exit from the furnace of the upstream factories. Due to the high flexibility in the structure and the reduction of the high percentage of SO3 at the same time, this technology will be applicable in order to treat multiple gas flows inside various facilities (including copper mines, steel and cement factories).
Iran’s gas reserves have large amounts of helium, and on the other hand, no equipment for extracting helium from natural gas has been built and launched. This issue increases the importance of investigating and knowing the best methods for extracting this valuable gas. According to published statistics, the global demand for helium increases by 5-7% annually. In recent years, a number of helium recovery equipments have been installed and launched in Algeria, Qatar and Australia. In the current situation, Qatar takes an average of 25 million cubic meters of helium gas from the South Pars joint field every year. At present, South Pars is known as the largest reserve of this ultra-light gas with more than 29% of the world’s helium gas reserves, and after this joint gas field between Iran and Qatar, Russia and the United States of America has the largest helium gas reserve in the world. have. But it is predicted that taking into account these units, in the near future, the global demand for helium will exceed its production, and this difference in the supply and demand of helium will increase the price of helium.
Among the helium extraction technologies, membrane technology can be considered because it has more advantages than cooling technology, and in this proposed plan, the membrane process method was considered to recover helium from natural gas. Among various polymeric and non-polymeric membranes, polymeric membranes have been chosen due to their flexibility, processability, and also being cheaper, and since the structure of polymer molecules is very important on the gas permeability behavior and the selectivity of gases, therefore, among the glass polymers and Rubber polymers, glass polymer is selected for this project. Because the type of placement of atom components in the polymer space and creating the strength of the polymer prevents the rotation of the polymer parts, and as a result, a hard and strong polymer is created.
So far, the semi-industrial setup of this method has been made.
