Considering the country’s need for more electrical energy, and because of that, the construction of new power plants to produce electricity, the use of solar panels, due to the lack of pollution and a lifespan of more than 25 years, as well as the high radiation power of the sun in Iran, is one of the ways Electricity production will be clean and sustainable.
Purification of flue gas of steam boilers using fuel containing sulfur
The problem of air pollution in the country, especially in the winter season, has taken the breath of the country’s metropolises and is the source of many underlying diseases. According to the General Department of Environmental Protection of Isfahan province, a metropolis like Isfahan has experienced only 2 days of clean air in 1401 until February. Isfahan is one of the most polluted cities in Iran with 136 days of unhealthy air for sensitive groups and 27 days of unhealthy air for the general public.
In this research, a model has been developed to respond to the need to reduce air pollution, which converts the sulfur present in the exhaust gases into high grade sulfuric acid. This technology has been proven in more than 50 references in 25 countries to produce acid with a concentration of 98%, efficiently and economically. This technology cleans the wet gas exit from the furnace of the upstream factories. Due to the high flexibility in the structure and the reduction of the high percentage of SO3 at the same time, this technology will be applicable in order to treat multiple gas flows inside various facilities (including copper mines, steel and cement factories).
Helium extraction from natural gas
Among the helium extraction technologies, membrane technology can be considered because it has more advantages than cooling technology, and in this proposed plan, the membrane process method was considered to recover helium from natural gas. Among various polymeric and non-polymeric membranes, polymeric membranes have been chosen due to their flexibility, processability, and also being cheaper, and since the structure of polymer molecules is very important on the gas permeability behavior and the selectivity of gases, therefore, among the glass polymers and Rubber polymers, glass polymer is selected for this project. Because the type of placement of atom components in the polymer space and creating the strength of the polymer prevents the rotation of the polymer parts, and as a result, a hard and strong polymer is created. So far, the semi-industrial setup of this method has been made.
